A winemaking career spanning over four decades, an inducted Baron of the Barossa and a reputation for age worthy, generous reds born from the dirt. Rob Gibson. The Dirtman.
This “Special Bin” release set, marking 25 years of Gibson, is one for the ages. Adamant to create a personal legacy to the Barossa’s fine wine landscape, Rob has purposefully reserved three small batch parcels of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz from the last decade in his museum. Hand selected as the “absolute cream” from the 2008, 2015 and 2018 vintages, each of the wines carry a Special Bin number - Bin 60 (Cabernet/Shiraz), Bin 65 (Shiraz) and Bin 70 (Shiraz).
This triple bottle gift set includes the “Number 1 Barossa Shiraz” from 2015 vintage as rated by The Real Review, placing it the top of a list that includes Torbeck, Penfolds and Greenock Creek.
As rated by Huon Hooke himself, each wine holds 5 Gold Star & Top Rank standing, with point scores reflective of their rare and collectable status.
