Gibson Wines is a family-owned winery in the northern Barossa, founded in 1996 by winemaker, viticulturist and geologist Rob Gibson. Known as “The Dirtman” for his fascination with soils and vineyards, Rob built Gibson around a simple belief: great wine begins in the ground.

Today, we craft small-batch Shiraz, Grenache, Riesling and other varieties that reflect the character of the Barossa and Eden Valleys - shaped by soil, site and decades of hands-on experience. It’s an approach we call Dirtborn Barossa: trusting the dirt, respecting the character of place, and letting it guide the wines we make.
