    • What are Gibson Wines' opening hours?

      Gibson Wines is open 11am–5pm, seven days a week. We're closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and Good Friday.

    • Can we catch public transport to Gibson Wines?

      There's no local bus service to Gibson Wines, but taxis are available - try Barossa Taxis or Barossa and Light Cab Service.

    • Is there parking at Gibson Wines?

      Yes - free parking is available on site for cars and minibuses, with roadside parking available for larger vehicles. We also have a free EV charging station.

    • Has Gibson Wines won any awards?

      Gibson Wines' wines regularly score well with critics, and a couple of standout wins: 2025 Halliday Wine Companion People's Choice Best Winery Experience, and Best Shiraz in Show at the 2022 London Wine Competition for the Gibson Reserve Shiraz.

    • Is Gibson Wines family-owned?

      Yes - Gibson Wines is a family-owned and family-run winery in the Barossa, founded by Rob and Anne Gibson, along with with second-generation winemaker Adam Fiegert.

    • Do you offer wine club memberships?

      Yes. Gibson Wines runs three wine clubs: Punters & Collectors, the Dirtman Club, and the Riesling Collective. More details can be found here.

    • What do Gibson Wines club members get?

      All members get free shipping, complimentary tastings at the Gibson Cellar Door and pre-release access to dinners and events, on top of their club's discounts and delivery schedule. Learn more and sign up here.

      Punters & Collectors is Gibson Wines' flexible wine club, offering up to 17% off with a selection and delivery frequency you choose. Learn more and sign up here.

    • What is the Dirtman Clan?

      The Dirtman Clan delivers a six-pack of Dirtman Shiraz straight to your door, four times a year (February, May, August and November). Learn more and sign up here.

    • What is the Riesling Collective?

      The Riesling Collective is built around Burkes Hill Riesling, with quarterly shipments in March, June, September and December for members who can't get enough of it. Learn more and sign up here.

    • Is there a minimum period for club membership?

      Yes - all Gibson Wines clubs have a minimum 12-month commitment. If your circumstances change, get in touch and we'll work it out with you.

    • Can I buy more wine than my club sends me?

      Yes. As a Punters and Collectors member, you can buy extra wine any time with a 17% discount and free postage. Dirtman Clan and Riesling Collective members always get 23% off their respective wine (Dirtman Shiraz or Burkes Hill Riesling) whenever they buy it outside their scheduled shipment, and pay RRP on any other Gibson wine. Free shipping applies to these orders too.

    • Can I pause, skip or cancel my membership?

      You can skip an order or cancel your membership yourself through the customer portal - just note that three consecutive skips will automatically cancel your membership. To pause a membership, get in touch with our team directly on (08) 8562 4224 or sales@gibsonwines.com.au.

    Cellar Door

    • How much is a wine tasting at Gibson Wines?

      Tastings are $10 per person for A Taste of Gibson (7 x current vintage wines) and $20 per person for Barossa Shiraz Unearthed (5 x super premium and museum Shiraz), often poured in our 1850s Smithy cottage. Tastings run for around 45 minutes.

    • Are children allowed at Gibson Wines?

      Yes, children are welcome at the Cellar Door but must be supervised at all times as it's a working winery, with forklifts, machinery and vehicles moving around the property.

    • What food options are available at Gibson Wines?

      We don't serve food on site, but Gibson Wines makes a great pre- or post-lunch stop - there's no shortage of great food nearby in the Barossa.

    • What facilities are available at Gibson Cellar Door?

      Gibson Wines offers free on-site parking, including disabled parking, and a free EV charging station. The Cellar Door has wheelchair access and accessible toilets, plus bike racks, outdoor tables and seating, and lawn games including Finska and bocce for guests to enjoy on the lawns.

    • Is Gibson Wines dog friendly?

      Yes - well-behaved, social dogs are welcome on a lead, tied up outside the Cellar Door. Guide and assistance dogs are welcome both inside and outside.

    • Do I need to book to visit Gibson Wines?

      Bookings are preferred, especially for groups. Our Cellar Door is fairly small, so we give priority to guests who've booked ahead. Groups of 8 or more by prior arrangement only.

    • Does Gibson Wines accept groups?

      Yes, groups of up to eight can book online. Slightly larger groups can sometimes be accommodated earlier in the day - just contact us to discuss. We don't accept party groups or liquor-licensed buses.

    Dinners, Events & Experiences

    • What is your cancellation policy?

      Paid experiences are refundable according to the following schedule;
      7+ days from booking date – full refund
      4-7 days from booking date – 50% refund
      3 days or less from booking date – no refund

      Please contact us via sales@gibsonwines.com.au or (08) 8562 4224 to discuss the cancellation process. Special circumstances will be taken into consideration. Cancellation terms are subject to change.

    • Do you cater for dietary requirements?

      Yes, absolutely. Please let us know when you book. Or feel free to contact us via sales@gibsonwines.com.au or (08) 8562 4224 if you forgot to add it to your booking.

    • Can we walk through the vines at Gibson Wines?

      No - we ask guests not to walk through the vines, to help stop the spread of soil-borne pests and diseases like Phylloxera, which can travel on shoes, clothing or equipment from other regions. You can still take in the vineyards from nearby viewing areas and the Cellar Door - the wines tell the story just as well as the soil does.

    • What is Barossa Shiraz by Barrel?

      Barossa Shiraz by Barrel is a daily experience starting from $75, where Adam Fiegert ('The Duke') guides you through a tasting of Shiraz straight from the oak barrel it's maturing in, followed by a seated Cellar Door tasting of our current vintage releases, including our super premium wines.     • What is A Taste of Vintage?

      A Taste of Vintage is a complimentary guided winery tour held during harvest, giving guests a behind-the-scenes look at a working Barossa winery in full swing - from fruit arriving and crushing through to fermentation.       Yes, Gibson Wines ships Australia-wide via Australia Post for a flat fee of $20. Shipping is free on orders of $250+, and always free for club members.
