Lifted sweet smoky Shiraz characters on the nose with a complex array of aromas from rosemary to vanilla and stone fruit.

Origin of Fruit:                                 Barossa Shiraz (91%) Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon (9%)            

Analysis:                                          Alcohol: 14.9% : pH: 3.75 : Acid: 6.4

Vintage Comments:                      Dry winter, warm October, warm dry ripening conditions combined with low-yields led to good varietal expression in Shiraz.

Vintage commenced early in first week of February.

Maturation:                                    Open fermentation with daily plunging or rack & return.

Tasting Note: Opaque purple hue. Lifted sweet smoky Shiraz characters on the nose with complex array of aromas from rosemary to vanilla and stone fruit. The palate is rich, round and very complex and shows all the hallmarks of great Shiraz treated with good oak maturation to produce wine with good ageing potential.  It shows ample aroma, good fruit balanced with perfect acidity and big dry tannins for ageing potential. 

The finish is long and generous, leaving rich dark chocolate flavours lingering on the palate.
