2025 Burkes Hill Eden Valley Riesling Magnum 1.5L

Our Burkes Hill vineyard in the Eden Valley has an almost spiritual sense of place. A Lutheran cross presides over the vines – symbolic of the faith held by many of the Barossa’s early European immigrants.
Equally as special is the mateship between our founder, Rob Gibson, and legendary Riesling winemaker, Andrew Wigan. The two share over 40 years each in winemaking in the Barossa. Rob is a dyed-in-the-wool red wine man, whereas Andrew, a specialist white wine maker, holds a particular pedigree in fine Riesling.

Burkes Hill Riesling captures the citrus purity and orange blossom aromatics in each bottle. This is a style that is also capable of long-term ageing.

The 2025 growing season featured cool to mild temperatures with significantly below-average rainfall. Having a late budburst ,very low yield and slow ripening, the extended harvest period was less than deal, there was extremely good fruit expression.

Colour: Very pale with green tints. 

Aroma: Delicate flinty aromas of orange blossom, jasmine, and ripe citrus 

Palate: The slatey palate displays the purity of Eden Valley Riesling with intense flavours of grapefruit, lemon curd, and freshly squeezed oranges, held together by the fresh and focussed talc-like acidity, chalky complex mid palate that finishes with a soft lingering tropical note.
