Gibson Discovery Road Montepulciano (or 'Monte' for short), is an easy-drinking red wine that is perfect for the warmer weather. With its Mediterranean origins, this versatile variety has a natural agility to perform well in warm, dry conditions.

We see Montepulciano as a ‘next gen’ Barossa wine that will sit comfortably alongside existing regional classics in the future. It seems like the rest of Australia agrees as Monte is growing in popularity all over the country.

Our 2022 Montepulciano, grown across two sites in the Barossa, has a perfumed nose with aromas of fresh boysenberry, mulberry, black cherry, and violets. The dark and brooding fruit provides great structure and balance whilst finishing with bright acidity and ferrous-like tannin.
