Gibson Wines will be available in Singapore from December this year, becoming the foundation wine partner of new online premium drinks marketplace ‘One Cellar’.
One Cellar, operated by One Minor Group, is an innovative virtual marketplace that houses everything consumers need to enjoy good tipples. It will range a curated, globally diverse portfolio of quality wines, craft spirits and artisanal sakes.
The One Cellar platform is slated to go live in December.
The company was founded by industry veteran Patrick Sng in 2019, who holds qualifications as a Certified Specialist of Wine, Whisky Ambassador and a Certified Sake Professional. Prior to establishing his own business, he was the Group CEO of Singapore Straits Wine Company overseeing the business’s Singapore and Malaysia operations.
Having observed the sudden increase in demand and the change in online consumer behaviour during the COVID19 pandemic, the One Cellar digital platform has been developed to feature the latest intuitive search tools and instant chats, enabling personalised drinks recommendations for every occasion.
“This demand evolved during the pandemic as many in the region were looking for drinks to pair with their home cooking or local street food to elevate their dining experience.” said founder Patrick Sng.
“We’re proud to welcome Gibson and their fine wines from the Barossa to our platform. Rob’s unique character and generous wine style, now also being championed by a second generation coming through the family winery, will be a great story to share with Singaporeans”, he added.
In addition to making Gibson wines available directly to consumers in Singapore via One Cellar, Gibson wines will also be supplied to the wholesale (HoReCa) market in the region through One Minor Group’s affiliated supply channels.
