Swirl Sessions at The Louise
This February, Gibson Wines is heading to one of the Barossa Valley’s most iconic luxury destinations for an intimate afternoon of wine, conversation and place.
As part of The Louise’s in house Swirl Sessions, guests are invited to slow down and swirl through a guided tasting hosted by the Gibson team, showcasing wines shaped by Barossa soils, seasons and stories. These relaxed Friday sessions are designed to bring wine lovers closer to the makers, offering insight into the wines, the vineyards and the thinking behind each bottle.
A setting made for the Barossa
Set among gently rolling hills and vineyards in the heart of Marananga, The Louise has long been part of the Barossa story. Opened in 2005 by hoteliers Jim and Helen Carreker, the property was created with a clear vision to become an essential part of its place and community.
Formerly known as Peppers Hermitage and The Hermitage at Marananga, The Louise is now part of the Baillie Lodges collection and is recognised as the birthplace of the Luxury Lodges of Australia. With its villa style suites, Mediterranean inspired atmosphere and central location, it offers guests a true backstage pass to the Barossa Valley.
The Swirl Session experience
This Gibson Wines Swirl Session is an opportunity to taste and learn in an informal, welcoming setting. Expect a guided tasting, stories from the vineyard and cellar, and a deeper understanding of what makes Barossa wines so distinctive. Whether you are staying at The Louise or visiting for the afternoon, it is a chance to connect with the region through the glass.
