The 2015 vintage is now well and truly done and dusted and as is usually the case the end of vintage heralds the changing of seasons. Summer often merges into Autumn here in the Barossa but this year Autumn came along pretty quickly. Over the past week or so it is feeling a lot more like winter bringing with it wild winds and cold nights but also very welcome rainfall. After what seemed like an endless dry spell going back to Spring 2014 we have finally gotten some good consistent rainfall. This might not be as appreciated by visitors but you certainly won’t hear the locals complaining.
With the colder weather here we start to think about comfort food and of course, red wine. The current range of reds are all drinking fantastically well so this is good opportunity to give you an overview of where some of them are at.
