“Bloody love Gibson wines. Honest to goodness, heartland stuff”

The Dirtman Shiraz 2019

…that utterly decadent plushness one sees in really good Barossa Shiraz, in spades… supple and satiny, it shows mouthcoating tannins, but they are ever so soft, and then finishing with seriously good length. Juicy flavours and a solid future, but really delicious now. Love it.

#11, The Real Review, 2020

Burkes Hill Eden Valley Riesling 2021

Very pale colour, with a very bright, fresh, intense and estery aroma of mixed flowers, both fresh and dried. The wine is superbly delicate, refined and fruity on the tongue, with a faint trace of residual sweetness, which softens it and brings it forward to potential early drinkability. Lovely balance and fruit.

reserve shiraz 2018

Soft, flowing, rich red through the seamlessness is the key and al the concentration is no nicely metered with a sense for freshness. So soft. Generous. The word lovely comes to mind, but that say little. It drinks a charm in its way. Mother's milk, neck oil, black tongue, lavish and good. Kudos, Gibsons.

2018 Duke Grenache Shiraz

Translucent ruby-red colour. Expressive and complex when swirled: charcuterie, spiced plums and earthy, smoky oakiness. Elegant and lifted grenache berries – oh-so fresh. Shiraz adding earthy grunge. Terrific blend and exceptional value.
