      We are open from 11am – 5pm seven days a week.

      Please note that we are closed for the following public holidays:

      Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and Good Friday.

      Unfortunately there isn't a local bus service in our area.

    • What if I want more wine than you offer in your club?

      We have you covered. As a Punters and Collectors Club Member you can purchase additional wine at any time, with 17% discount. Purchases just need to be made in 6 or 12 bottle amounts. And postage is free!

    Our Wines/Online Shop

    • What wines varieties do you offer?

      We have a selection of whites from our Playground and Heart & Soul ranges. Plus an extensive selection of reds from our Playground, Heart & Soul and Pedigree & Pathfinders ranges. More details here

    • Do you ship your wines?

      Yes, we ship across Australia with Australia Post. More details available when you process your order in your online cart.

    Cellar Door

    • How much is a tasting?

      A selection of our current vintage wines is available for $10 per person, redeemable on purchase. Our super premium range is also available for tasting for an additional charge of $20 per person which is not redeemable. Premium tastings take place in our 1850's Blacksmith's cottage, The Smithy, giving you a wonderful insight into Barossa's early settlers.

    • Are children allowed at Gibson’s?

      Yes, we are a family friendly venue.

    • What food options are available to purchase?

      We don't currently offer any food options, but Gibson is the perfect pre or post-lunch destination. With so many delicious food options in the Barossa, we will stick to what we know best – wine. 

    • What facilities are available?

      We have plenty of lawn games on hand including Finska and bocce to enjoy on our cellar door lawns. 

    • Are you a dog friendly cellar door?

      We love a well behaved pooch. Dogs are more than welcome to join you in our outdoor areas. Please keep them on lead, with you at all times and clean up after them in the bins provided.

    • Do I need to book?

      Bookings are preferred to avoid disappointment, particularly groups of 8 or more. Our cellar door is relatively small and preference is given to those with a booking.

    • Do you accept groups?

      Groups of up to eight people can book online via our website. Depending on the day, we can occasionally cater for slightly larger groups if you are arriving earlier in the day. Please contact us to discuss. 

      Please note that we do not accept party groups or liquor-licensed busses.

    COVID-19

    • Can we still visit you?

      Yes, we are still open and trading as normal. We do recommend booking so you can ensure a seat inside, our cellar door is compact in size.

    • What has changed in the cellar door since COVID?

      Seated tastings have been very well received and we are continuing to host them in this format. Most other requirements haven’t changed.

    • What is your vaccination policy?

      For the safety of our staff and other guests, we prefer that all visitors to our cellar door are fully vaccinated.

    • What is your cancellation policy?

      Day with The Dirtman:
      More than 14 days from booking date – full refund
      More than 7 days from booking date – 50% refund
      Less than 7 days from booking date – no refund

      Barossa Shiraz by Barrel:
      More than 7 days from booking date – full refund
      More than 3 days from booking date – 50% refund
      Less than 3 days from booking date – no refund

    • Do you cater for dietary requirements?

      Yes, absolutely. Please let us know when you book. Or feel free to contact us via sales@gibsonwines.com.au or (08) 8562 4224 if you forgot to add it to your booking.

    • Are we able to walk through the vines?

      Yes, Day with The Dirtman experience includes guided access into a selection of vineyards. To protect our vines from transferable pests and diseases such as Phylloxera, it is a requirement that guests disinfest footwear before and after entering any vineyard sites. An appropriate disinfesting solution for footwear will be provided to guests on the day.

    • Do I need to know a lot about wine to be on the Day with The Dirtman tour?

      Absolutely not! You will be asked to complete a pre-tour questionnaire so the day can be tailored to you. Part of this questionnaire asks about your prior wine knowledge and what you wish to get out of the experience. 

    • What should I wear on the Day with The Dirtman tour?

      The tour incorporates vineyard walks, a stop off in Angaston at local suppliers and time at our Winery and Cellar Door. Neat, comfortable casual is the best option.

      Ladies – if you like to wear heels, stick to the chunky heeled version for this tour. You will thank us later!
